TTU SRC AYEKOO AWARDS NOMINEES JAM Was a Flop!

Takoradi Technical University students said they hope by now the SRC and the entire Entertainment crew will be looking at ways of ‘giving them their stone’ so they hit them with it.
Students of TTU last Saturday said that publicity for the SRC Ayekoo Awards Nominees Jam scheduled for Thursday was low and said sarcastically that the low publicity could translate into high patronage, the SRC thought they were just bad mouthing them.
The SRC Ayekoo Awards Nominees Jam edition which was supposed to be held on Thursday 25th May, 2017 inside FAATSA Basement rather came off that same day inside the SRC JCR.
However, the show had very low turnout. To put it blank, it was a debacle. Considering the weight of the SRC and their huge influence on students, they expected them to fill the inner perimeter of the SRC JCR to capacity.
Due to the heavy rain, the low attendance marred the show so much that their good sound work could not show up their marks the show should  be scored. Even though a lot of factors contributed to the flop of the SRC Ayekoo Awards Nominees Jam, the major factor for the flop was low publicity on the part of the organizers.
Most people didn’t even know the SRC Ayekoo Awards Nominees Jam will take place on 25th May 2017 till the Thursday evening when they made a sound check.
Another important factor is that the timing for the show was wrong. The SRC Ayekoo Awards Nominees Jam was held at a time when the two major Halls: Nzema Mensah and GETFUND HALL were celebrating their hall week.
Students of TTU goes like, If the SRC gives their show enough publicity and do their research well, they would have had large numbers. Next time, when they are coming to hold a show here, they should not forget what they have just read.
