THE TALK SHOW: STOP BACKLASHING THE STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL (SRC), Kwodwo Asomah TO TTU STUDENTS.
Kwodwo Asomah popularly known as Mantse, a student of TTU was on Iconplusgh Talk show on Monday June 5, 2017.
In his interview, Mr. Benneh stated. I have been on campus since 2011. On the issue of students complaining about
the Student Representative Council which I want to make a comment and give this
information out.
Students assume or think that we pay dues to the student representative
council (SRC) under which the following also recieve an allocation :The Women’s
commission (WOCOM), Ghana national union of technical students (GNUTS), Chaplaincy.
This has been talks going on for a
while now on campus and there has not been any evidence to confirm that we pay
any dues to The SRC or not.
I thought of it and I decided to enlighten the general students that based
on luck of evidence, I want my fellow students to be aware that we don’t pay
dues to the Student Representative Council. All we know or see is the amount of
our school fees but not what goes into our school fees .
Am challenging all students including our student leaders that claims he/she has evidence to prove that
we pay dues out of our Fees to the TTU SRC body, but before that I want the general
student to stop the backlash that the
Student Representative Council has "chop" our money. It will serve in
everyone's interest if we can all be served with the fees breakdown instead of
just the amount to be paid on things we had no ideas about.
I will leave this piece for all to think about for now.
Leave BBF alone.#stillBBF
unless you are saying they donot recieve part of the students' fees as dues, what you are saying makes no sense. and besides it is the duty of the SRC to push for the students' rights to see the breakdown of their fees. if you donot want to be backlashed then you cannot be a leader
